the rapper and notable couture connoisseur made her runway debut on Saturday during balenciagathe extravagant fashion show in Los Angeles. the Spanish fashion house brought out big names and representatives of long-standing brands, including kim kardashianNicole Kidman, joey king, Kendall Jenner and more.
Set on Windsor Boulevard in broad daylight, Cardi B surprised the audience by walking with the other models down the palm tree-lined street with an effortless swagger befitting a catwalk. the rapper held on to the floor-length blue faux fur coat she adorned, which covered Balenciaga’s signature black leggings and heels.
Cardi’s hair and makeup were the picture of elegance. She looked like an old Hollywood star with a bold, deep red lip: her hair was pulled back to show off the row of diamonds around her neck.

the artist later posted on Instagram Stories saying she was sick and “worked hard” for the show. “I feel like shit,” she said. Despite not feeling well, Cardi B hosted a celebration after the Balenciaga show in Los Angeles.
Cardi B and Balenciaga have had a relationship since 2020, when the artist was named the new face of the luxury fashion house. She famously references Balenciaga in her hit song, “I Like It,” mentioning the sock-style shoes the brand made. Cardi, along with other celebrities like Kim Kardashian, have stuck with the brand even during their controversial advertising campaign in 2022, which featured children holding teddy bears in restraints and harnesses.
the Los Angeles show was a featured special and was done in partnership with the notoriously expensive grocery store Erewhon. the brand even handed out Erewhon x Balenciaga-branded grocery bags to guests, and Kardashian took the opportunity to pose with one. Other celebrities attending the show included Cole Sprouse, Lisa Rinna, Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz, Natasha Lyonne, Rachel Sennott and more.
