Timothée Chalamet dazzles with Chainmail at the Paris premiere of “Wonka”

Timothée Chalamet dazzles on the red carpet, literally.

the 27-year-old actor is currently appearing in cities around the world while promoting his new film, Wonka – in which he plays young aspiring chocolatier Willy Wonka. And his premiere looks so far have not disappointed. Chalamet is not one to shy away from offering a look, and during the premiere of his new film in Paris, France, on Friday night, he continued to do so.

the actor opted for a simple but elegant ensemble for the French premiere, wearing a sparkly Tom Ford top from the designer’s spring/summer 2024 women’s runway collection. the chainmail-style tank top glistened against the paparazzi’s flashing lights as Chalamet stood in front of the whirlpool. the star paired the top with tailored black pants and black boots. Despite the cold Paris weather in December, Chalamet didn’t cover up the sheer top, proving that he is a true fashionista.

Timothée Chalamet officially inaugurated the Wonka press tour last week in Tokyo and was soon in London wearing a striped Alexander McQueen suit and no shirt underneath. Winter, who? the unique silhouette of the tailored suit included tails and the actor wore it with black combat boots. the next day, Chalamet appeared on the London red carpet in a more classic Wonka look, wearing a maroon suit (sans shirt) and a custom Cartier necklace made to look like candy in honor of his character, which took a whopping 450 hours to complete.

the long awaited Wonka movie, which follows the origins of the beloved children’s novel character, was delayed for release due to several reasons, including the COVID-19 pandemic. Chalamet and other actors in the film were unable to promote the film due to Hollywood strikes, but with union agreements changed, Chalamet was able to attend premieres and talk about the film.

Wonka comes out December 15.
