Aditya Birla’s Vivek Shrivastava passes away in Bengaluru

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Business Development Director Vivek Shrivastava passed away in Bengaluru on Monday morning. Shrivastava, 41, had a 20-year career working for numerous textile and apparel market leaders.

“We are devastated by the news,” said DLF Malls vice-president and friend Rehan Huck, India Retailing reported. “He was an extremely brilliant retail professional and had made a name for himself in retail. He was loved by the people who knew him.”

Shrivastava had worked in the Indian retail industry for over two decades and spent time at companies such as arvind Limited, Titan Company Limited and benetton Group among others. the executive joined Aditya Birla Fashion Retail Limited about a year and a half ago after leaving Benetton, where he was responsible for leading the brand’s business development in the country.

After his death, which occurred due to a heart attack, Shrivastava is survived by his wife and young daughter. the executive had told Images Retail magazine that he plans to become CEO of the company in the next five years, in March 2023.
