Singer and actress Reneé Rapp, model and designer Kimora Lee Simmons, former teen fashion Editor-in-Chief Elaine Welteroth and current teen fashion Editor-in-chief Versha Sharma took the stage at teen fashion Summit 2023 last weekend, but there’s something else they had in common: denim!
Taking place in sunny (and sometimes rainy and cold) Los Angeles, teen fashion Summit and Block Party was a celebration of dreams and self-empowerment, and we all know that a fierce team can help with that. So it’s no surprise that one of the hottest trends at the event was denim. While classic, reliable denim never goes out of style, the denim-on-denim style has become a modern phenomenon. (Thank you, Britney Spears!) And that was evident throughout the Summit and the Block Party.
Hosting the day, Versha Sharma wore a light wash denim jacket and matching denim corset top by Sergio Hudson. She even matched her eyeshadow to the denim shade, sporting a light baby blue contrasted with sharp cat-eye liner.
