Swiss watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre presents two new watches inspired by art and will join its current Reverso Tribute collection. the watches pay homage to the Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai and feature a small enamel painted with intricate details as a reproduction of the painter and his famous works.
the artist is a 19th century talent and is known for his genre of transformative ukiyo-e painting that truly captured the hedonistic lifestyle of the Edo-Japanese era. He expanded his work to include images of animals, plants, landscapes and more. the new Enamel designs joining the collection highlight two masterpieces: “the Ono Waterfall on Kisokaido Road and the Waterfall Where Yoshitsune Washed His Horse in Yoshino in Yamato Province.”
