Smartwatch Sleep Apnea Detections – Galaxy Watch Feature

Samsung received PDA approval to add a sleep apnea detection element, so it will join as the latest feature on the Galaxy Watch. It will be rolled out in the US and the company has additional plans to add the monitoring tool to other wearable devices.

Users will be able to access data from the Samsung Health Monitor app and users over 22 years of age who have not been diagnosed will be able to check for signs using their phones and smartwatches. Samsung explains that “sleep apnea can aggravate the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, cardiac arrhythmia, and stroke.” the feature was developed and added by Samsung to better detect and moderate various forms of the condition regardless of severity and help them seek medical advice.
