On January 31 Demi lovato have a I’m ready to change moment at the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert, swapping a full-skirted fairytale dress for a bold-shouldered bodysuit during the event.
February is American Heart Month and the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert helps raise awareness about women and cardiovascular disease. Guests are encouraged to wear red, and Demi Lovato did just that with not one, but two bright crimson looks.
For the red carpet, the singer donned a sleeveless scarlet satin dress with a high neck and a huge ball skirt from Nicole + Felicia couture, like something a princess would wear for the ball scene in a Disney movie. True to form, Lovato styled the dress with bold black details, including a dark manicure, a small black clutch, and plenty of eyeliner, plus loose waves. the dress was reminiscent of one Lovato wore in theA very Demi Christmas special, with her big, bold skirt paired with opera-length red velvet gloves and a matching red lip. When you find your favorite palette, stick with it!
To perform, Lovato ditched the dress in favor of a bright red bodysuit with big, bold shoulders and a corseted waist. the jacket hit well past the hips and ended near mid-thigh for added impact, and the matching wide-leg pants gave us just a small glimpse of the platform pumps hidden beneath. (And yes, they were red too). At one point during the performance, Lovato grabbed a black guitar, a fun contrast to the glamorous but rebellious all-red look.
