GJEPC organizes ‘Jewels UnBounded’ Indian jewelery exhibition in Hong Kong

the Gem and Jewelery Export Promotion Council of India celebrated Indian fine jewelery in Hong Kong with the ‘Jewels UnBounded’ show. the event was supported by the Consulate General of India in Hong Kong and the Department of Commerce, Government of India and was attended by GJEPCBrand ambassador Manushi Chillar walks the ramp wearing diamond jewellery.

the event was designed to introduce India’s rich and diverse range of gemstones, jewelery and textiles to buyers across Asia, the GJEPC announced in a press release. the event’s associate partner was Entice by KGK and the exhibition took place in conjunction with the Hong Kong Gem and Jewelry Fair in September.

“Gems and jewelery are a wonderful store of value and a good investment; there is no other asset class that can store so much incomparable value,” said India’s People’s Ambassador. Republic of China Pradeep Kumar Rawat in a press release. “They are also a storehouse of memories passed down by members of our family and symbolize relationships. Imagine the power of such treasures of gems and jewels in India, which is one of the oldest civilizations in the world… Deepen your commitment to India through gems and jewels and begin the journey with new thoughts and new vigour” .

Guests at the event included Consulate General of India in Hong Kong, Consul General Satwant Khanalia and Chow Tai FookKent Wong CEO, among others. Former Miss World Manushi Chillar represented the GJEPC modeling fine jewelery and echoing the GJEPC statement that if jewelery can be made anywhere in the world, it can be made in India.

“Gems and jewelery trade between India and Hong Kong has remained strong and will culminate in a total trade value of $15.56 billion in 2022,” GJEPC Chairman Vipul Shah said. “For India, Hong Kong has been the second largest gem and jewelery export destination, worth $8.63 billion in 2022. Cut and polished diamonds, with an export value of $5.15 billion, constitute an important part of this trade. Additionally, we see the export of silver jewellery, gold jewellery, colored gemstones and polished lab-grown diamonds gaining prominence.”
