New Balance introduces a new patent leather update with a new series of its 550 sneaker silhouette. Three versions of the shoe are released, replacing the traditional leather and suede construction throughout the upper with shiny leather accents. It comes in white, black and light blue options.
Patent leather detailing can be seen applied to the N logo on the side of the shoe, heel, overlay details, panel logo, and mudguards. There is additional branding on the insoles, heel, and tongue label that reads “NB.” All three versions of the shoe rest on a white midsole with a black or blue outsole.
