Sanjay Garg’s Raw Mango finds glamor in the dark at Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI

Designer Sanjay Garg’s Raw Brand mango Opened Lakmé Fashion Week x Fashion Design Council of India with ‘Children of the Night’, a collection of dramatic proportions inspired by everything that comes to life after dark. Actresses Karisma Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin and Saba Azad walked the Raw Mango runway looking spectacular at the Indira Gandhi Sports Complex.

Raw Mango’s collection celebrated fabrics and drapes while taking inspiration from Lakmé’s ‘Glitterati’ sparkling cosmetics collection, Lakmé Fashion Week announced in a press release. By mixing bold colors like black, neon yellow and silver, the collection proved that traditional crafts can be a modern statement.

“Raw Mango has elevated fabrics, giving them a contemporary makeover to bring joy to a wider audience,” FDCI president Sunil Sethi said in a press release. “After an eight-year hiatus, she has returned to perform at the Lakmē x FDCI Fashion Week. “We are delighted to have him as the opening act, to set the pace, with his eclectic offering.”

the models sported makeup looks from the Lakmē Glitterati collection with striking silver eye looks and bold black. the makeup looks were developed by Lakmé with celebrity makeup artist Daniel Bauer from Lakmé’s 40-shade ‘Glitterati’ collection.

“In collaboration with Lakmē’s new Glitterati collection for the FDCI opening show of Lakme Fashion Week, Raw Mango’s ‘Children of the Night’ collection found its true essence: a celebration of the energy that accompanies night,” Garg said. “Each garment in the collection includes innovations in textiles, including brocade that imparts a knitted feel, kaleidoscopic fabrics and an incredible array of shiny metals, surprise elements woven into the DNA that roots us. “It was an evening of pure creative magic.”

Lakmé Fashion Week x FDCI will be held from October 11 to 15 at the Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. He fashion WeekOn-ground fashion shows are also live-streamed on Facebook and instagram and features a selection of famous models as spectacular figures.
